Your leather furniture should be treated immediately on arrival with the PROTECTION CREAM, in order to guarantee optimal protection. Regular care is required if your leather is to keep its beautiful looks.
You should apply the PROTECTION CREAM as soon as possible following delivery of your furniture, in order to guarantee optimal protection. Regular care is required to preserve the beautiful gleam of your leather.
All kinds of dust and debris will settle on the furniture during day-to-day use: colour from denim clothing, crisps, ink from newsprint and countless other damaging substances like grease, acids and perspiration from hands, hair and other parts of the body. Even the use of medication may have effects.
At Gealux we work exclusively with products from KERASOFT or KERALUX. These are tested by specialised European bodies (CTC, CTBA, the Gerber institute and Reutlingen) and contain the ideal mix of active ingredients to protect leather. Such preventative care is essential if the original quality and look of the leather is to be preserved over the life of the furniture.
However, leather does not benefit from excessive maintenance. A dusting with a soft dry or slightly damp cotton cloth or chamois is adequate for daily care.
Tips :
• Keep a special cotton cloth and chamois specially for use on your leather furniture. This will ensure that no chemical cleaners or other contaminants are applied to the leather.
• Direct, strong sunlight can fade the colour as well as causing the leather to dry out. Your furniture should therefore never be placed in strong sunlight or too close to any heat source (central heating equipment, radiators, open hearths).
